<description>Biblically, this article is just so off base. Folks knew exactly how to get pregnant!!! Otherwise why would they get themselves ready with all their hoojoo methods just before sex?? Hello? - Genesis 38:8-10 clearly shows from the beginning of time, men KNEW how women got pregnant! "8 Then Judah said to Onan, “Sleep with your brother’s wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to raise up offspring for your brother.” 9 But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. 10 What he did was wicked in the LORD’s sight; so the LORD put him to death also.

Onan, pulled out... and it's the same that many men have done throughout the years... so don't play dumb... get a clue and know the truth!

Dear Sissy,

Thank you for your input on this subject from a biblical aspect. It was not my intention to offend you with inaccuracies or general statements but to inform readers on ancient methods used to &lt;strong&gt;preventing&lt;/strong&gt; conception across cultures (not only Christians) when the general knowledge of exactly HOW the body's reproductive system worked (not intercourse per se) was extremely limited.

As you will acknowledge, we are still discovering more and more about the complexities of the male and female reproductive system even today and, as with many of the body's other systems, as we discover more intricacies and links, we adjust our approaches, treatments, medications etc. to keep pace. In ancient times, each culture held its own beliefs and practised its own methods of birth control which I wished to share with my readers. Your comment will serve to remind me to be more precise with expression and I shall amend the statement in the post.

I hope you continue to visit my site and I appreciate the time you took to comment here.

Kind regards Carole
